Return & Refund Policy

At Meenakshi Mukundha Times (MM Times), we aim to ensure every customer receives high-quality products and dependable service. We understand that issues can occur rarely, and this policy explains how such situations are handled fairly and transparently.

This Return & Refund Policy clearly explains when returns are allowed, how refunds are processed, the applicable conditions, and how to request support.

This policy applies to all purchases made through:

  • www.mmtimes.in and all associated sub-domains (Mart, ClothHub, WebHub, Tool&Die)
  • WhatsApp, phone, and email-based orders
  • Offline product bookings or service confirmations

1. General Return Eligibility

A return is allowed only under the following conditions:

✅ 1.1 Damaged Product on Arrival

Return is accepted if the item arrives:

  • Broken
  • Cracked
  • Physically damaged
  • Severely dented
  • Leaking (in case of components/materials)

The damage must be reported within the allowed timeline with proper evidence (photos/videos).

✅ 1.2 Manufacturing Defect

Return may be accepted if the product has a verified defect such as:

  • Not powering ON
  • Component failure
  • Internal faults
  • Malfunctioning parts
  • Missing internal components

Defects are confirmed through inspection, troubleshooting, or technical review.

✅ 1.3 Wrong Item Delivered

Return is accepted if:

  • Incorrect model, variant, or color is delivered
  • The product received is different from what was ordered
  • Specifications do not match the confirmed order

✅ 1.4 Incomplete Product

If essential parts or accessories are missing and cannot be supplied separately within a reasonable time, the entire product may be returned and refunded.

2. Items Not Eligible for Return

Some items are strictly non-returnable, in line with industry standards.

❌ 2.1 Custom-Made, Customized, or Made-to-Order Products

No returns are accepted for:

  • Customized fabrication
  • Personalized projects
  • Special project builds
  • Custom manufacturing orders
  • Tailor-made sourcing items
  • Non-standard specially procured materials

These cannot be returned once production has started.

❌ 2.2 Digital, Design & Development Services

No returns or refunds for completed services such as:

  • Logo design
  • Website development
  • App development
  • Branding services
  • Digital files and delivered creative work
  • Completed consulting or technical sessions

❌ 2.3 Workshops, Events & Training Sessions

Once booked or attended, workshop/event/training fees are non-refundable.

❌ 2.4 Products Damaged by the Customer

Return is not allowed if damage is caused by:

  • Incorrect wiring or installation
  • Mishandling or rough usage
  • Physical impact or dropping
  • Water damage or exposure to liquids
  • Overvoltage, short-circuits, or burns
  • Unauthorized repairs or service attempts
  • Modification of circuits or components

❌ 2.5 Consumables & Hygiene-based Items

The following items cannot be returned once opened/used (if applicable):

  • Chemicals and reagents
  • Gloves and protective equipment
  • Clothing items
  • Disposable materials
  • Batteries (once used)

3. Return Timelines

To be eligible, issues must be reported within the specified timelines:

⏰ 3.1 Damage on Delivery

Must be reported within 24 hours from delivery.

⏰ 3.2 Defective or Not Working

Must be reported within 48 hours from delivery.

⏰ 3.3 Wrong or Incomplete Product

Must be reported within 24 hours from delivery.

Requests outside the allowed window may not qualify for return or refund unless special exceptions are approved by MM Times.

4. Conditions for Return Approval

To qualify for a return, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • Product must be in its original condition.
  • All accessories, manuals, packaging, labels, and warranty slips must be included.
  • No signs of usage beyond initial inspection.
  • Product must not be tampered with, altered, or physically modified.
  • Issue must be verifiable through:
    • Photos/videos, and/or
    • Troubleshooting, and/or
    • Physical inspection (if required)

Failure to meet these conditions may result in the return request being rejected.

5. Refund Eligibility

Refunds are applicable only for eligible returns as defined in this policy.

Refund may be given in the form of:

  • Full Payment Refund (bank transfer / UPI refund)
  • Partial Refund (after deduction of use, damage, or service charges)
  • Credit / Replacement Value (for use in future orders)

The refund decision depends on:

  • Type of issue
  • Condition of the product
  • Service effort already completed
  • Customization or production cost involved
  • Inspection and verification results

6. Refund Processing Time

Once your return is approved and the product (if applicable) is received and inspected, refund processing will begin.

  • UPI Refund: 1–3 business days
  • Bank Transfer: 3–7 business days
  • Wallet / Gateway Refund: As per third-party payment gateway timelines
  • Cash Transactions: Refunded only through bank transfer (no cash refunds)

Delays from banks or payment gateways are beyond the control of MM Times.

7. Deductions in Refunds (If Applicable)

In certain cases, deductions may apply to the refund amount:

🔸 7.1 Used or Damaged Product

If customer-induced usage or damage is detected, a reduced refund or no refund may be applicable.

🔸 7.2 Missing Accessories or Packaging

If accessories or original packaging are missing:

  • The cost of missing items may be deducted, or
  • The return may be declined depending on severity

🔸 7.3 Custom Manufacturing / R&D Costs

For customized project or product orders, costs such as:

  • Raw materials
  • Work completed
  • Labour charges

may be deducted because these items are produced specifically for the customer.

🔸 7.4 Shipping Charges

Original or return shipping costs may be deducted unless the return reason is:

  • Wrong product delivered
  • Defective product
  • Damaged delivery caused by MM Times or logistics partners

8. Non-Refundable Fees

The following are strictly non-refundable:

  • Workshop fees
  • Consultancy or training charges
  • Completed design work
  • Domain and hosting charges
  • Government fees (GST, trademark, registration costs, etc.)
  • Third-party vendor fees
  • Custom development work already delivered

9. Return Procedure (Step-by-Step)

Step 1 — Contact Support

Reach us through:

Step 2 — Submit Evidence

You must send:

  • Photos/videos of the issue
  • Order ID / Invoice details
  • A short description of the problem

Step 3 — Technical Verification

Our team will:

  • Check and validate the issue
  • Perform basic troubleshooting (remotely, if possible)
  • Request additional information if needed

Step 4 — Return Approval

If the return is approved:

  • A pickup will be arranged, or
  • The return address will be shared for self-courier

Step 5 — Inspection

Once the product is received, our team will:

  • Inspect the physical and functional condition
  • Verify the raised issue
  • Confirm approval or rejection of refund/replacement

Step 6 — Refund Initiation

After approval, the refund will be processed via bank transfer or the original payment method, as applicable.

10. Replacement vs Refund

If a return is approved, MM Times may offer one of the following resolutions:

  • 🔄 Replacement: If the product is still available or repairable, a replacement unit or repair may be provided.
  • 💰 Refund: If the product is unavailable, discontinued, or the return reason is valid for refund under this policy.
  • 🎫 Credit Value: Available upon customer request for use in future orders.

11. Warranty-Based Returns

If a product becomes defective after the standard return period but is still under warranty:

  • Warranty repair or replacement will be provided as per applicable warranty terms.
  • Return/refund is not guaranteed unless explicitly permitted by the warranty conditions.
  • Inspection may be required to determine the cause of the fault.
  • Warranty rules depend on the product category and supplier/manufacturer policies.

12. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure smooth return and refund handling, the customer must:

  • Report issues within the allowed timeline mentioned in this policy.
  • Provide correct and clear proof (photos/videos) of the issue.
  • Retain original packaging until return confirmation is received.
  • Pack the product safely and securely when returning.
  • Cooperate during troubleshooting, inspection, and verification processes.

13. MM Times Rights

MM Times reserves full rights to:

  • Approve or reject return requests.
  • Decide refund eligibility based on this policy.
  • Apply deductions where necessary (usage, damage, missing items, etc.).
  • Inspect and evaluate product condition before final decision.
  • Modify this Return & Refund Policy at any time.

All decisions are taken with fairness, transparency, and consideration for both the customer and MM Times.
